Speculations are rife that Daenerys may become mad in the much-anticipated book "Winds of Winter" and eventually burn Westeros. The much-delayed book is expected to be released in early 2017.

The Mother of Dragons is expected to feature prominently in "Winds of Winter," according to War and Politics of Ice and Fire. She will eventually take her army and reach Westeros via Essos but the end will not be favorable to the citizens of Westeros.

Daenerys is the daughter of the Mad King and through out the book "A Song of Ice and Fire," she grapples with the concepts of peace and war. She wants peace but at the same time, she is not afraid to amass a great army to fight for any cause, which she deems fit. The gene of eccentricity is expected to come to full force in the Mother of Dragons in the book "Winds of Winter."

There are also speculations that Daenerys may marry Tyrion Lannister in the much-delayed and anticipated book. They are yet to meet in the book series and it is expected that their paths will intersect in the latter part of "Winds of Winter." Lannister is a brilliant strategist and after marrying Daenerys, they are likely to become the Power Couple of Westeros.

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" theorist Brynden B. Fish revealed in an interview with The Verge that he thinks that the book is very likely to be released in 2017 based on author George R. R. Martin's writing speed. However, he is wary of the quality of the book and suspects that it may not be at par.

Fish added that Martin is famous for rewriting and scraping a lot of his work and that is the reason why "Winds of Winter" is taking such a long time. The former said that good work needs time and that is why the latter ought to be accorded all the time that he needs to bring out a stellar book.
