Vin Diesel recently slipped some great Marvel news to his fans through his personal Facebook page. Diesel in a Facebook live video confirmed that the characters of "Guardians of the Galaxy" are all set to feature in the next Avengers movie "Infinity War."

The actor who has been lending his voice to the talking tree in "Guardians of the Galaxy" revealed the information regarding his Marvel superhero team on Aug.19, Friday. 

"Now, the guardians of the galaxy will be included in 'Avengers: Infinity Wars' and that is incredibly exciting," he said in a live address to his audience. He added that he is sharing the news with his before everyone else. And that the entire concept began due to his fans' persistent request to him to get featured in a Marvel movie, Variety reported. 

The "Fast & Furious" actor portrayed the role of extraterrestrial Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy" while the main cast of Guardians includes Chris Pratt who plays Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana (plays Gamora), Bradley Cooper(voices Rocket) and Dave Bautista (Drax). 

The "Infinity War" which will be the third installment of the Avengers series is expected to bring together several Marvel characters from its films, Daily Mail reported. 

The purpose of Diesel's live video was not only to break the news about the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also to show the award that he recently received from Facebook for reaching the milestone of 100 million fans. Diesel spent most part of the 30-minute-long video appreciating his fans for their support throughout his career and also for supporting him on joining the "Guardians" franchise. 

The 49-year-old actor,however, did not reveal any more details pertaining to the kind of roles "the band of misfit heroes" will be playing in the Avenger film. A spokesperson for "Avengers" studio Disney when contacted by the Associated Press, too refrained to respond. 

"Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 4, 2018, while "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will be launched a year prior to the former's release on May 5, 2017.
