Airing on USA Network on Aug. 24, Wednesday, "Mr. Robot" Season 2 episode 8 will feature Darlene (Carly Chaikin) making tough decisions as fsociety fractures. Prior to this, it was reported that real-life hackers are using the logo of the hacker group in the thriller series created by Sam Esmail.

Computer security and forensics expert Lawrence Abrams claimed on Bleeping Computer that a new EDA2 variant was discovered online. He said the open-source code used to create ransomware as hidden behind a giant poster for fsociety of "Mr. Robot."

"Mr. Robot" Season 2 episode 8 is directed by Sam Esmail. In the episode, Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) will learn about the ramifications of a power vacuum.

In the "Mr. Robot" Season 2 finale, the secret friend Elliot speaks to is not the audience of the thriller series. Breaking the fourth wall, Malek's character is speaking to Steve from catering and craft services, Observer has learned.

Joining Malek and Chaikin in "Mr. Robot" Season 2 episode 8 are Portia Doubleday, Michael Cristofer, Stephanie Corneliussen, Martin Wallstrom, Grace Gummer and Christian Slater. Their respective characters are Angela Moss, Phillip Price, Joanna Wellick, Tyrell Wellick, Dominique DiPierro and Mr. Robot.

In "Mr. Robot" Season 2 episode 7, Mr. Robot and Elliot tried to keep the peace while Darlene acted upon an old desire. Also, fsociety released a video as a tribute to Uncle Sam.

Aside from playing the title character in "Mr. Robot," Slater is also joining the voice cast of "Milo Murphy's Law," in which he will voice the character named Elliot Decker. On the big screen, he has yet to star in a film since the crime drama film titled "King Cobra," which was directed by Justin Kelly and also starred Molly Ringwald, James Franco, Alicia Silverstone and Garrett Clayton.
