"The Walking Dead" season 7 is rumored to feature at least one character death in the finale.

According to Screen Rant, majority of the characters are at risk of meeting Lucille, but Aaron, Sasha and Maggie won't most likely make the cut. While speaking with Pop Sugar, Aaron actor Ross Marquand already somewhat confirmed that his character is safe from being targeted by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

"Everyone is expecting it to be devastating, and it is. It is a rough, rough exit, you know? That being said, I think it's a great episode, too. I think it's an episode that people will watch and talk about for years to come, honestly," he said.

Marquand added that filming the character's death wasn't fun for him or any of his co-stars. "It was not fun. None of us were having a great time during those scenes. For people in the audience, sitting at home on their couches watching it, they're going to be feeling all the feelings that we felt. It was an absolute loss of someone that we really care about. We say this time and time again, but it's not just a TV show for us - it's a family. When you lose a family member, it's extraordinarily difficult. We felt that death was like losing someone that you really care about," he said.

Meanwhile, Sasha may also be safe from Negan's lair and a lot of the publications have also taken the character off of their list of possible targets of Negan. Just like Sasha, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has been on and off the list of Negan's possible victims.

According to the publication, Maggie's death may cause tons of negative emotions among the other characters, as well as the fans. Therefore, it's possible that Negan might have targeted her. On the contrary, there are rumors suggesting that the producers of the hit AMC series will not take such a big risk in killing such an influential character.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC on Oct. 9.
