"I'd really like to address something that is weighing heavy on my heart," Rancic starts. "I wanna apologize for a comment that I made on last night's 'Fashion Police' about Zendaya's hair."

"The Apprentice Season 1" winner's wife said while it was not her intention to offend Zendaya, it was not about her intention but the results, which include offending not only Zendaya but other people, as well.

Prior to this, Rancic took to Twitter to apologize to Zendaya.

"I'm sorry if I offended you and others," the E! host wrote. "I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!" Rancic tweeted on Feb. 24, Tuesday.

On the controversial "Fashion Police" episode, Rancic criticized Zendaya's  long dreadlocks on the 2015 Oscars red carpet saying the 18-year-old "smells like patchouli oil or weed."

In response, Zendaya took to Twitter to share a message which starts saying "there is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful."

In the message, Zendaya mentioned "Selma" director Ava DuVernay and several African Americans with dreadlocks. She also recommended listening to India Arie's "I Am Not My Hair."
