Supercell is gearing up to launch a massive Clash of Clans update in September that would hopefully enable it to take on the popular Pokémon GO fever by Niantic.

Clash of Clans and Pokémon GO are two very different games but they do target mostly the same market in Android and iOS devices. Niantic has found wide success with their AR game as people across the globe scramble to catch Pokémon in their neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Supercell is still trying to undo their huge mistake with the last Clash of Clans update. Players have complained about the bad update and are urging Supercell to roll back the changes.

Instead of rolling them back, the developer is planning to release another update. Supercell is reportedly planning a massive Clash of Clans September update that will include new features to gain more players in an attempt to compete with Pokémon GO, iTechPost has learned.

The inclusions of the said update have not yet been confirmed. It could include new Clash of Clans game modes that would shake up things in the title and another feature that would help both newbies and veterans to enjoy playing with each other.

Part of the Clash of Clan update could be some of the suggestions from Supercell's marketing campaign to allow players to give feedback on what they like to see in future patches, University Herald reported. Some players have been suggesting a level playing field between the new players and veterans as not to discourage new players from raging wars with their clans.

One of the main mechanics of the game is building a base's defense and attacking others. New players are often at a disadvantage because buildings take time and it could take weeks before they reach an established base with good defense.

Clash of Clan players will have to wait for the massive September update that could hopefully help it take on the giant Pokémon GO app craze taking over the globe. The update will automatically roll out when users are connected to the Internet and they try to play the game.
