"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is currently in the works and Square Enix will probably include the next official reveal at PSX 2016 in December. Latest information indicates that "Final Fantasy Remake" might release in Q4 2017 for PS4, with the Xbox One version coming sometime in 2018.

The preorder notice had previously stated that the remake will be released in December 2016, but the latest email confirmed that it would be postponed for one year. The new release appeared practical, but fans believe that the game may be pushed further to the end of 2018.

The game developer stated that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" would be released as a multi-series game. Fans should expect some notable changes in the hit action role-playing game.

In an interview with Game Informer, game producer Yoshinori Kitase said that the upcoming remake might feature characters and a plot from the Compilation content. As a result, less important characters in the story will not be included in the new version. Furthermore, the visuals and graphics of the game will be improved.

The objective of the remake is to restructure it more like "Final Fantasy XIII," as opposed to an episodic series. The producer stated that each part of the multi-series would be a full-scale game. This implies that every part will tell the story from a different point of view, similar to the approach in "FFXIII."

Kitase, Kazushige Nojima, and Tetsuya Nomura are working on the much-rumored remake. Kitase teased that they might introduce some changes, given that they are the very people who created the original version. For now, aficionados can look forward to the release of "Final Fantasy 15," which is scheduled for Sept. 30.
