Pokemon Go: How to know the catch chances of Dratini, Pidgey, Weedle and other Pokemon

A new calculator helps Pokemon Go gamers figure out their chances of capturing Dratini, Pidgey, Weedle and other Pokemon.

According to reports, a new calculator called Pokemon Go Catch Chance Calculator makes it much easier to determine players best chance of capturing any given Pokemon.

To use the calculator, gamers will need to enter the type of creature they want to catch. After that, they should choose what type of Poke Ball they will use - an Ultra Ball, a Great Ball or a regular Poke Ball.

Then they should play around with the size and color bars to get a visual representation of the best moment to throw the ball and how good a chance they have of a successful catch.

The ring color determines the CP of the creature and how tough a catch a player is dealing with, with the red ring being the most difficult and the green ring being the easiest.

Also, how tiny the ring is when players throw their ball influences things. Throwing the ball when the ring is very big gives players a smaller chance of victory and throwing the ball when the ring is very small increases the chances.

The rings represent what level the creature is, with higher Combat Power Pokemon being more difficult to capture. It is better to throw the Poke Ball when the ring is as near to the Pokemon as possible.

For example, throwing a regular Poke Ball with the ring about halfway closed gives gamers a 61% chance of catching the Dratini.

Using this tool, players can see how hard it can be to catch some high-leveled rare creatures. For example, with Snorlax, if players were to encounter a Level 30, throwing the Poke ball when the ring is as tiny as possible gives them a 20% chance of success.

A player's chances are good if they use an Ultra Ball; however, even with that, the highest percentage possible is a 37% chance of catch.

Meanwhile, Niantic Labs said in a blog post that it is reversing a few permanent account bans it accidentally issued over the past few days. John Hanke, CEO of the company, said that they started issuing bans based on whether gamers were using tools that broke their terms of service.
