Included to the rumored features on Apple's upcoming flagship laptop is a small touchscreen strip on top of the keyboard, which will run as OLED screen display in place of the usual top function key row, 9to5Mac reported.

Following the report, the device will also arrive with a new hardware and a Touch ID support. The touchscreen capabilities will not only provide contextually sensitive buttons, but will manage to maximize new MacBook Pro 2016 features, such as the Touch ID and third-party app integration.

Aside from this, the new laptop will also reportedly sport lightning-fast second-generation USB 3.1connectivity. The BitBag emphasized that this development will most likely introduce Thunderbolt 3 in MacBook Pro 2016 models.

A new Bloomberg report says that the new range of MacBook Pro models will have a smaller footprint than current models, and will be thinner because of the new hinges developed by a "metal injection molding" mechanism. The reported removal of older ports in favor of four USB-C ports (two on each side) accomplished a slimmer and portable Pro.

Intel's new Skylake platform is also the new processor for the new MacBook models, which will provide the usual improvements on performance such as an increase in CPU speeds. This platform will also add up more than 30 percent battery life, bringing effective power use.

Because of this, The MacBook Pro 2016 has also been widely accepted as a must-have laptop for gamers, as AMD Polaris graphics chipset will reportedly deliver superior gaming and video playback capabilities for the Pro.

As for the MacBook Pro 2016 release date, rumors have been pointing to a September 2016 launch.
