FX CEO John Landgraf and "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy have been very vague with their answers as to what the sixth season is all about. Although they gave out sufficient details - such as that it would involve children and that there's a push and pull between past and present - the whole concept of Season 6 remained a big mystery.

They continued the guessing game with the release of official teaser trailers for "American Horror Story" Season 6. According to IGN, Landgraf said that one of the trailers is accurate and the rest are "misdirects."

Rotten Tomatoes, however, may have made an important disclosure. The website listed the new season as "American Horror Story: The Mist." The title has since been removed. The giveaway led fans to one trailer showing a creepy creature crawling on railroad tracks and is almost covered by thick mist.

Even with these clues, the show's theme this season remains the subject of speculation. After all, the short video doesn't reveal that much except that there's a monster and a lot of mist. But the concept, however, coincides with a previous statement made by Murphy.

In a previous interview, Murphy said he was going through a theme that involves "the innocence of children, that sort of wide-eyed entryway into some world," TV Line reported. Perhaps, this mist-cover world is a different realm entirely.

There's a theory that the mist concept might be inspired by Stephen King's novel "The Mist," which tells the story of a town that becomes wrapped with a mist that carries a monsters.

In the meantime, Lady Gaga is returning to "American Horror Story" Season 6, together with Cheyenne Jackson and Angela Bassett.
