The phenomenal series "Wayward Pines" Season 3 will focus on consensus between humans and Abbies, and exploration of human behavior amid extinction.
According to the series' producers, "Wayward Pines" Season 3 will explore co-existence between humans and Abbies. It is said that this is the reason behind the one thousand years leap, although there were no details as to how this co-existence will be attained after one thousand years.
Many believe that the exploration of co-existence in "Wayward Pines" Season 3 is just apt as a finishing touch if M. Night Shyamalan, producer of the series, truly plans to have this as a final and conclusive season.
It can be remembered that "Wayward Pines" Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, which left viewers to speculate on which specie - humans or Abbies - will remain victorious in the end. In the last scene of the previous season, a baby who appears to be human was clutching on what looks like an Abbies' finger, which led to various interpretations.
For one, fans believe that the baby was neither human nor Abbies, but in fact, it's a new breed of specie which will lead to the reconciliation of humans with Abbies. There were also those who believe that the baby belongs to the Abbies, and it will be the key for the triumph of the latter over humans.
Consequently, the impending attack of Abbies might just take place after one thousand years, if the latter was the case. Nevertheless, everyone agrees that whether the baby is of new breed of Abbies or an entirely new breed, it will surely result to one thing - coming in of new characters and twists to watch out for.
On another note, "Wayward Pines" Season 3 is rumored to also feature unexpected death of many characters to pave way for the everlasting peace in the planet. Accordingly, two of those characters are Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) and CJ Mitchmum (Djimo Hounsou), both played a great part in saving humanity from the brink of extinction.
