Supercell's hit game "Clash of Clans" (COC) is doing badly not only due to the success of the mobile game "Pokemon GO," but also because "COC" has conventionally had a steep learning trend. It is hard for new players to devote much time on the game to learn all the tricks and techniques.

The game developer's previous update failed to address many issues and concentrated on gamers at Town Hall Level 11 and above. As a result, those still at lower Town Hall Level were left out, something that made most of them to leave the game, according to MobiPicker. However, rumors are rife that the situation might finally change with the imminent September update.

In the looming "COC" September update, Supercell is set to incorporate new features for Town Hall Level 11 and below gamers. The update will make "Clash of Clans" more accessible to players and encourage them to continue playing.

Traditionally, "COC" has not been friendly for newcomers. The much-anticipated August update was delayed until September and it seems the update will be a massive one.

The game developer is gearing up to change the game a lot for both new players and veterans. It is speculated that the upcoming September update will bring some penalty features in addition to the Gem Mine that will enable players to mine for free gems. Supercell is yet to comment on the rumors, and therefore, the information should be taken with a grain of salt.

Many fans were disillusioned when the game developer cancelled ClashCon 2016, according to a different report by the same publication. Players expected a fix of the game and it appears the imminent September update will focus on that.

Meanwhile, Supercell seems to be gearing up to topple the throne of the ruling king of mobile games, "Pokémon Go." However, "Clash of Clans" should be prepared for war now that "Pokémon Go" has established itself as the reigning king of mobile games.

Before Niantic Labs released its hit mobile title, "Clash of Clans" was among the top games in the industry. As soon as "Pokémon Go" was released, "COC" and other games were taken down.

Many "COC" aficionados are suspecting that the introduction of new features in the imminent September update is a way for the game developer to battle "Pokémon Go." "COC" has an upper hand when it comes to the legion of loyal fans.
