After a hiatus of six years, Renee Zellweger is back in Hollywood with a bang. The actress, who will be seen soon in "Bridget Jones' Baby," declared that she is a changed person since taking a break from acting.

Opening up about her nearly six-year absence from the Hollywood, the 47-year-old actress declared that she decided to leave acting in 2010 to discover new things and grow as a person outside of the entertainment industry. She was speaking on Sept. 5, Monday, during a press conference for her movie that is slated to release on Sept. 16.

"I hope I'm a little less boring than I might have been after just 25 years of being an actress and being in that cycle of making films," People quoted the actress as saying. "I wanted to learn something that had nothing to do with researching a character."

The actress further added that she was "craving a little normalcy" and wanted to learn things beyond the scope of acting. However, she admittedly soon felt pulled back to her acting roots. She also worked on the other side of the camera quite a bit during her acting break.

Talking about the reprisal of the beloved Bridget Jones' role in the upcoming movie, Zellweger added that she could not imagine a better film to reintroduce her to acting world. She will be seen alongside Colin Firth and Patrick Dempsey as well as Emma Thompson and pop star Ed Sheeran.

Meanwhile, "Bridget Jones' Baby" received a warm response from critics following its world premiere in London, BBC reported. The movie is being deemed as the funniest of the series.

The movie is "Mamma-Mia!"-style mystery about the father of Bridget Jones' baby, who is conceived after she suddenly got lucky with two chaps within a few days, dishy online dating expert played by Dempsey and her old smoulderer, the unexpectedly single Mark Darcy played by Firth. The film is directed by Sharon Maguire, while its writers are Emma Thompson, Dan Mazer and Helen Fielding, author of the original newspaper column and bestselling book.
