Clarke has become one of the popular actresses whose TV role has catapulted her to stardom. Viewers have seen the British star on the small screen as the fierce Queen of Dragons Daenerys in the past six seasons of the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones." She has also been one of the celebrities whose movie projects became a hit in both domestic and global markets, according to a report posted on Vanity Fair.

The "Game of Thrones" cast member many only have a few films under her belt. She starred alongside Hollywood veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 2015 movie "Terminator Genisys." Although the movie did not do well in the U.S. with earnings of only $89.7 million, it became a big hit in other markets. The "Terminator" sequel's worldwide earnings have reached $440 million, as indicated in the same report.

On the other hand, Clarke's recent romantic drama movie "Me Before You" became an unexpected hit. Its domestic box office earnings have reached $56 million. The movie also raked in worldwide earnings of $200 million.

The worldwide box office performance of Clarke's two films has made her one of the highly bankable stars in Hollywood. Although her fellow "Game of Thrones" co-stars have yet to experience the same movie success. The same report indicated that Harington's films such as "Pompei" and the "Seventh Son" did not do so well in the movie theaters.

On the other hand, Turner's "X-Men: Apocalypse" film may have pulled in earnings of $544.6 million. However, Clarke has managed to show her acting talents in two movie lead roles versus Turner's superhero mutant movie that featured an ensemble cast, as stated in the same report.

Meanwhile, Clarke previously expressed her excitement over the upcoming final two seasons of the HBO series. In an interview with The Wrap, the actress teased of a huge and epic ending to conclude the TV show's saga.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 is expected to premiere in summer 2017.
