During the Apple iPhone 7 launch event on Sept. 7, creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto and Apple CEO Tim Cook announced Super Mario Run for mobile devices. It will be soon coming to iOS and Android devices.

Super Mario Run is a 2D isometric game that is all about collecting coins and climbing levels. It is an endless runner game that can be played by simply tapping on the screen.

Long press on the screen will allow Mario to just higher. It can be played single-handedly as the game does not require players to move Mario. The game provides players with three gaming modes.

The first mode provides players with challenging courses. The second mode will enable players to enter multiplayer session to compete against friends.  The third mode will let players to build their own Mushroom Kingdom. This mode by played by using the coins collected in the first two modes.

Super Mario Run Release Date for iOS and Android

It was confirmed at the Apple's event that Super Mario Run would be available for iOS devices in December this year. However, the game won't be free, but it will be available for a set pricing. It is likely that the game may include purchasable content.

The game can be played on iPhones and iPad that are running on iOS 8.0 or above. Super Mario Run is already listed on iTunes Store. However, instead of Get button, it has a Notify button wherein gamers can either opt for email or push notification to get an alert when the game is officially released for iOS devices, CNET reported.

At the event, there is no talks about the Android version of the game. However, Nintendo later confirmed that the Super Man Run will be coming to Android deices some point in the future, Kotaku reported.

Hence, it is likely that the game would come to Android when the game is officially released for iOS or it may become available by early 2017.
