It all started when Rotten Tomatoes by mistake listed the "American Horror Story" Season 6's theme as "American Horror Story: The Mist." It was removed some minutes later, but it already created a buzz among fans. Viewers speculated even more when Reddit user brought up that TV Guide also listed Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series new season as "The Mist."

The latest news about "American Horror Story" Season 6 took place after several teaser videos about the new season came out including, creatures of the deep, creepy children, and spiders. FX CEO John Landgraf, who is known in keeping things under wraps when it comes to the show's events, tried to cover up the real theme at the Television Critics' Association (TCA) event.

"A lot of them are accurate," Entertainment Weekly quoted Landgraf as saying at the TCA. "The others are all misdirects."

Apparently, one of the teasers revealed in August was titled "The Mist," which could be the exact theme of "American Horror Story" Season 6. The teaser video showing a creepy creature crawling on a railway looks like patterned from Stephen King's novel "The Mist."

The "American Horror Story" is known for casting the same actors playing different characters. Earlier, there were speculations that Lady Gaga will be skipping her TV stint for her casting in Bradley Cooper's remake of "A Star Is Born." She will also be busy with her 5th studio album.

Her fans were dismayed about the rumors until her casting on "American Horror Story" was confirmed. "American Horror Story" Season 6 cast, including Lady Gaga, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Sarah Paulson will return.

"They went out and made many more trailers than you've actually seen for...different genres and different places," Landgraf told E! News about Season 6's marketing strategy. "I just love it on an artistic level. One of them is accurate, the others are all misdirects."
