Nintendo NX, Nintendo's upcoming home console slated to arrive next year has already so much buzz surrounding it. The company has however, remained tight-lipped about Nintendo NX console that they chose not to debut during this year's E3.

Since it was first announced back in March 2015, critics and industry analyst are already claiming that Nintendo will finally reveal details about the new console this October.

Back in April, Nintendo announced that the NX console would be released in March 2017. During the annual E3 conference this June, the Japanese gaming firm decided not to display the upcoming console, it feared its competitors who may try and copy what they were trying to achieve.

According to The Wall Street Journal, analysts believe that the Japanese consumer electronics and software company will most likely make the "Nintendo NX" announcement in October.

The NX, which is seen as just Nintendo's codename for the device is supposedly a home gaming console that also has TV capabilities and a portable device for mobile gaming. Some reports in fact say that the "Nintendo NX" is actually a handheld device that will utilize detachable controller modules.

With the TV connection, the idea here is to let users play games on a TV like a regular console, and allowing them to continue playing on-the-move. This has resulted to rumors that the device is hybrid between console and handheld gaming.

For Nintendo to achieve all this capabilities, it seems that the "Nintendo NX" will make use of cartridges, despite the limited space, as compared to discs such as the ones found in Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The cartridges may possibly look similar to the ones for the Nintendo 3DS.Such discs are able to store up to 500Gb of gamers data, giving them more storage space, Gamespot reported.

Also, the "Nintendo NX" is rumored to be powered by Nvidia's Tegra X2, a 2.1 TFLOPS processor usually seen on mobile devices, according to Eurogamer.

This has contributed to higher believability that the "Nintendo NX" console will have the feature of handheld gaming. But with no confirmed features or specs released by Nintendo, it is hard difficult to tell how promising "Nintendo NX" is.

Lately, Nintendo has been receiving a lot of positive press announcing details on the NX console by next month and this should keep their momentum up. On July this year, the firm released "Pokémon Go" for iOS and Android devices and it quickly became a gaming phenomenon.

Just earlier this week, the company made headlines when it announced that Mario is finally making its way to mobile devices with "Super Mario Run."

The company is also expected to bring "Fire Emblem" and "Animal Crossing" to mobile devices in March 2017.
