"Tekken 7" will be launched in the early months of 2017 with high speculation that the PlayStation 4 version of the latest "Tekken" installment will be released in February next year. During the ended PAX 2016 West event in Seattle, Bandai Namco's producer demonstrated a gameplay for the console version of the upcoming fighting video game, "Tekken 7." The video, from Dual Shockers, shows the first "Street Fighter" character to crossover the "Tekken" series, Akuma challenging Heichachi Mishima inside the latter's dojo. Segment Next reported that Akuma wants to defeat Heihachi in order to fulfill the promise he made to his wife Kazumi before her death.

In the middle of the fight, unknown assailants suddenly show up, this gives Akuma no choice but to use his Goshoryuken, Hadoken and Tatsumaki Senpukyaku moves. The presentation also shows him using Messatsu, Gou Hadou and Shun Goku Satsu, also known as Raging Demon.

The rumors regarding the February 2017 release date of the PS4 version of "Tekken 7" started making rounds on the internet when a known game leaker revealed on Twitter a few details. The Twitter user known as Wonkey tweeted that "Tekken 7" will be launched in February next year.

However, according to WCCF Tech, this information must be taken lightly as Bandai Namco has yet to release the official details regarding the "Tekken 7" launch. There is a chance that the upcoming installment will also be released on PC and Xbox One platforms simultaneously with the PS4.

Meanwhile, game producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed that there is a big chance that the paid DLC packs will arrive in the game. Although he argues that fighting games should be released as a complete package, gamers would still be requiring additional content sooner or later. He also believes that gamers want to have a different gaming experience once in a while.

Harada then added, "Recently players are saying that they don't mind paying, that they still want to see some new content after release." He noted that since the voices are becoming larger, producers should think about it seriously and perhaps change their point of view, Segment Next reported.

The roster for the upcoming game includes Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Asuka, Alisa, Lili, Xiaoyu, Steve Fox, Paul Phoenix, King, Hwoarang, Marshall Law, Bob, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Dragunov, Lars, Leo, Feng Wei, Nina, Devil Jin and Lee/Violet.

New characters are also expected to come along, such as Serafino, Josie Rizal, Claudio Katarina Alves, Lucky Chloe, Jack-7, Shaheen, Gigas, Master Raven, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.

"Tekken 7's" arcade version was released in Japan last year while the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC versions will arrive early 2017.
