As "Doom" gets its third free update by the end of this month, the release will include modes for Deathmatch and private matches. In the official press release, Bethseda stated the two modes will be free, and will benefit those players who would want to have private matches with their friends.

The publisher added that players will be able to adjust settings according to their liking. These includes changes in the time limit, score limit, turning demons and power weapons off or on, Escapist Magazine reported.

Its previous updates included a new feature dubbed as "Photo Mode" where players are able to take screenshots of their feats in hell, according to a separate report by the same publication. The previous version also allowed players to switch back the on-screen weapon at the center of the screen, which has been available in the game's original version. The previous update also included improvements in the SnapMap which featured authors names on maps and others.

The Free Update 3 will be showing its gameplay on Sept. 13, 2 PM via a Twitch stream. In terms of its official release date, Bethseda only mentioned the DLC will be arriving this month.

"Doom" is a video game developed by id Software and Bethseda Softworks. It originally debuted to consoles as a trilogy. Right after the release of its third installment in 2004, the game was rebooted and relaunched with the same title this year.

It as first-person shooter game where players take the role of an unidentified marine tasked to fight demonic elements from hell which were brought by the Union Aerospace Corporation. The reboot was first announced as "Doom 4" in 2008 but was revisited only in 2011.

Most of the criticisms were gained by the game's multiplayer version, while its single-player mode received praises and commendations from both players and critics. It sold around 500,000 copies for PC at the end of May 2016.

The game has since been renamed to adapt the original title, "Doom," in 2014. Readers are advised to stay tuned for updates for the official announcement of the third DLC's launching.
