Although the announcement of Justin Hartley's departure from "The Young and The Restless" seem to imply that Adam's character will not be coming back for good, recent predictions suggest the character may have survived the explosion and will be played by a new member of the cast.

The last episode of "The Young and The Restless" featured Adam being locked up inside some cabin which explodes a few minutes after Chloe exits the scene. However, several spoilers have teased Adam's fate is still unknown. Though majority who were able to watch the explosion believes that character has already been written off from the show, some are thinking otherwise.

When asked regarding his on-screen partner's fate, Chelsea actress Melissa Egan revealed she already knew what was going to happen. She said she hinted in a couple of times during interview, mentioning the word "explosive" which she meant literally, Michael Fairman Soaps reported.

The actress also commented about her last scene with Hartley noting she though it was very special and it was a great way to send Hartley off. It was a beautiful way for them as a couple in the series, Egan added.

Whatever happened to Adam, there is a strong belief the character is still alive and will be seen in the show's future events. Now that Hartley has been recently casted in "This Is Us," there are speculations a new Adam Newman would be appearing from a possible recast.

It can be recalled that the 39-year old actor confirmed his departure from the show a few days ago.
