The sequel of 2009 blockbuster Bollywood movie ''3 Idiots'' is in the making and the fans are excited to know about it. Sharman Joshi, who played the role of Raju Rastogi in the prequel is all set to reprise in the sequel.

According to Indian Express, the 37 year old actor is extremely enthusiastic about the upcoming project. "Yes, he (Hirani) did mention to me that he has an idea to make a sequel to '3 Idiots'. I am eagerly waiting for him to finish the script so that we can start working on it soon'' Joshi candidly told media.

He had started his career as a theatre actor and these days is spending more time to be in touch with his favorite medium of acting. He wants to spend more time on the stage, and his team is putting up some entertaining Marathi and Gujrati plays together where Joshi will play significant roles.

Not much is known about the sequel of this blockbuster film which is based on the novel of IIT-IIM alumni Chetan Bhagat ''5 point someone'' however, the scriptwriter Abhijat Joshi in collaboration with the director Rajkumar Hirani is coming up with a great script. The fans are waiting to see the three friends again and are hoping that the story takes off from where the first movie left it.

Joshi has worked in many successful comedies in the Indian film industry and he expressed that comedy comes naturally to him. "Comic timing is something which comes pretty naturally to me. Maybe because I have done it in a number of movies and also, I love it. It's worth bringing a smile on people's face," Joshi talked about his own acting skills, reported freepressjournal.

His comedy movie ''Style'' where he played the role of Bantu was an extremely hilarious movie and managed to scoop up good earnings in the box-office. This 2001 movie had a sequel in the form of ''Xcuse Me'' and that too did moderate business in the industry.

Both the movies were directed by N. Chandra, and the sequel was released on 26 Sep. 2003. Joshi played the role of Bantu and Sahil Khan, the partner in crime for him played the role of Chantu.

In both the movies they played the role of carefree youths and got themselves involved in various tricks to get their life going. In the first movie they were college going students and tried to catch rich girls to get married to. In the second movie both were fresh hotel management graduate students who joined a hotel in Goa and tried to increase the business of the hotel by catching the thief.

He also worked in another blockbuster movie ''Golmaal'' where he played the role of Laxman. For this movie he was nominated for the Filmfare Award for the best performance in a comic role. This movie which was directed by Rohit Shetty made 699 million Indian Rupees (US$10 million) in the box-office and was released in many countries along with India. He shared screen space with Gopal (played by Ajay Devgn), Lucky (played by Tusshar Kapoor), Madhav (played by Arshad Warsi) in this 2006 Bollywood comedy drama film.

Hence Joshi is a king of comedy films and the fans can expect some more great comedy in the upcoming sequel too.
