2015's surprise box office hit "Kingsman: The Secret Service" is back for a sequel, and lead star Taron Egerton revealed the scoop on what's to come in the upcoming film.

Egerton appeared at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this week to promote the animated movie "Sing." At the event, Egerton spoke to ET Online to give an update on the highly-anticipated "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," sequel to the 2015 spy flick.

"It's great, man. We just finished. It's going to blow everyone away," Egerton said.

In the sophomore film, Egerton is joined by returning stars Mark Strong and Colin Firth as well as new members Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Elton John. A photo of Tatum wearing a suit on the film set could indicate that he's also playing a spy like Egerton's Eggsy or a villain in disguise.

When asked about his experience working with the "Magic Mike" star, Egerton commented, "He was only around for a couple of weeks, he's such a great guy. He's such a great guy and he's brilliant in the movie. He'll be great."

One of the most talked-about aspect of "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" is Firth's grand return to the franchise. In the first film, Firth's character, Harry Hart, was shot in the head by Samuel L. Jackson's Valentine. There was massive public demand to bring the character back, and now fans' prayers have been answered.

"It's no secret that I'm involved, somewhere and somehow. From what I've been able to gather, it's not going to feel like a conventional sequel. It's going to be something that feels very much its own thing. I'm very optimistic about it," Firth told Collider about his participation in "Kingsman: The Secret Circle."

As to how his character will return, Firth didn't give any straight answer, but promised viewers "they're going to be surprised again."

Egerton previously revealed that the second "Kingsman" film will go global, and there are speculations that spy agencies from around the world will be introduced. What's been confirmed so far is that Eggsy and Merlin will head to the United States to work for Statesmen, which is headed by Berry's character, Ginger.

"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" hits theatres in 2017.
