The software giant Google has begun rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for compatible Nexus devices.

The latest update was rolled out to the Android One General Mobile 4G, Pixel C tablet, Nexus Player, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X devices gradually.

According to various reports, the tech giant has confirmed that the  Google Nexus 9 and Google Nexus 6 will get the new Android 7.0 Nougat update in the forthcoming weeks. However, there is no information on the precise timeline for the Android update.

People who cannot wait for the official rollout of Android Nougat can register for the Android N Developer Preview to experience Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update brings a host of improvements such as number blocking, revamped doze, enhanced notifications and multi-window support, BGR reported.

Clear all button for apps - In earlier Android versions, once users tapped the overview button, it brought up all of their open apps and they had to swipe through one by one to close them.

Now, Android 7.0 Nougat will allow users close all the apps simultaneously. Users should press the overview button and after that they should drag their notifications down and click 'clear all' to close them simultaneously.

Android 7.0 N comes with a new feature that allows users input information in case of emergency. Once a user input information, anybody can access it in case of emergency even if the screen is locked.

Users access it by clicking 'users' in their main settings menu, and then tapping emergency information.
Users will have two screens.

On the first screen, users can enter information for emergencies, such as allergies, medications they take and their blood type. The second screen allows users to list contacts in case of emergency.

The System user interface Tuner gives users more power to customize a their device, The Guardian reported. To enable it, users should swipe down from the top of their screen to get into their Quick Settings menu.

After that, users should press and hold the settings bar till it spins, and they get a prompt to enable the System user interface Tuner. Users can adjust what they want to view in their status bar at the very top of their screen and make adjustments to their device's Do Not Disturb settings.
