Vin Diesel has declared that his late "Fast And Furious" co-star Paul Walker played an important role in his journey towards fatherhood. The actor was speaking during a charity event on Sept. 17, Saturday, when he expressed that the late actor was a major influence in his steps toward starting his family.

"When we were in the cars in between takes, he would tell me, 'Hey, Vin, it's not a scary thing to become a father' (and) give me all the good advice," Us Weekly quoted the 49-year-old actor as saying. "Next thing you know, I am a dad."

Diesel further explained how Walker was instrumental in his personal life. The late actor even told him to be present at the hospital during the childbirth and even cut the umbilical cord.

Diesel was admittedly so much influenced by the words of the late actor that he even named his youngest daughter Pauline. In addition to Pauline, the actor has an 8-year-old daughter named Hania and a son named Vincent, who was born in 2010, with his longtime partner Paloma Jimenez.

Walker also had a daughter, who was just 17, when he died in a one-car crash in November 2013. The two actors starred in six of the seven "Fast And Furious" films together, with Walker appearing posthumously in the most recent installment.

In "Furious 7," Walker was given a touching goodbye as his character, Brian O'Connor, was shown driving off into the sunset to lead a peaceful life with Mia, his longtime romantic interest, who as revealed is pregnant with his second child. While fans admit that O'Connor's story has been wrapped up properly, it seems that Diesel wants to bring back Walker's character in the upcoming "Fast And Furious" movies.

The revelation has been made by the late actor's brother, Caleb and Cody Walker , when they discussed plans for the future of the franchise during a recent interview. The two admitted that Diesel has consulted with them about the possibility of bringing back O'Connor in the upcoming movies.

"I had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back," Caleb told Entertainment Tonight. "He wanted [our] blessing."
