Xiaomi Mi 5s, an enhanced version of Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship is currently under the wraps. However, since the Chinese company has started giving invites for Sept. 27 launch event, speculations are rife that the Xiaomi Mi 5s will launch next week on the said date.

The invites feature a stylish letter 'S' that also appears like number '5' along with Sept. 27 date, Phone Arena reported. Hence, speculations are hinting that the company may unveil Xiaomi Mi 5s at the upcoming launch event.  The Xiaomi Mi 5s release date and price are likely to be revealed on Sept. 27.

Xiaomi Mi 5s Specs, Features

Xiaomi Mi 5s will be sporting a 5.15-inch full HD display like the Mi 5. It will be a pressure-sensitive screen to support 3D Touch like feature present on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

The Snapdragon 821 chipset that includes a quad-core processor working at 2.4 GHz and Adreno 530 graphics will power the Xiaomi Mi 5s. It will be available in three variants.

The 3 GB LPDDR4 RAM variant will include 64 GB of native storage. Its 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM model will house 128 GB of storage. The 6 GB LPDDR4 variant will be coming with 256 GB of storage.  

For photography, it will be equipped with 16-megapixel camera that will come with features like 4-axis Optical Image Stablization and phase detection autofocus. Its front-facing camera is expected to be of 13-megapixel.

It is heavily pegged to come with Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that is likely to be placed below the display of the device, Playful Droid reported. It will also feature a USB Type-C connector.

The Xiaomi Mi 5s will be equipped with a huge battery of 3,940 mAh capacity along with Quick Charge 3.0. Speculations suggest that the smartphone measures 144.5 x 69.2 x 7.2 mm and weighs 148 grams.

The Xiaomi Mi 5s was recently found listed on AnTuTu. It has also received certification in China. However, it is yet to receive TENAA certification.

Xiaomi is also rumored to be working on another flagship phone that will come with topnotch specs. It is expected to come with dual-edge curved screen, dual camera on its rear side, Snapdragon 821 and 6 GB of RAM.
