"Supernatural" Season 12 will be back within a month and the horror fantasy show of The CW promises loads of intriguing plots and twists in the coming season. Fans have a lot to look forward to, especially in the aftermath of Mary's resurrection in the Season 11 finale.

Sam and Dean are facing a dilemma and it would be interesting to watch how they manage to get out of it in "Supernatural" Season 12, Variety reported. Sam was apparently shot, when seen last and Dean was in the woods, coming to terms with the resurrection of their mother. Now the two brothers have to be each other's savior and reconcile with the uncomfortable reality that has sprung up in their life in the form of their mother.

However, this is not the only plot worth looking forward to, there is more. Crowley, Castiel and Lucifer will have a major presence but God and Amara's relationship is expected to take a backseat. Showrunner Andrew Dabb has said that the show is not going to play it heavily in season 12, claims Entertainment Weekly.

In an interview, Dabb revealed that the story of the brother and sister will be happening off-screen and it is not coming to an end. Shedding light on God, he further said that God trusts Sam and Dean more than himself. The brothers have saved more lives than God has and this is why he has full faith in the brothers and feels comfortable in staying away.

As for Castiel, he will back as the good old angel as he has set free Lucifer but this season may not be so good for him. Rumors hint at his death and even Dabb had said that "Supernatural" Season 12 would delve deeper into his backstory. According to the showrunner, certain things from his past would surface in the coming season and it would be heavily about him and the journey he has been through.

Well, it looks like "Supernatural" Season 12 will be a roller-coaster ride and given the hints dropped by Dabb, Season 13 also looks likely. "Supernatural" Season 12 premieres on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
