"Game of Thrones" hunk Kit Harington shocked audiences at the Emmys 2016 when he went on his knees and proposed Andy Samberg. The two were co-presenters at the Emmys night on Sept. 18, Sunday.

Those who are thinking that the "Game of Thrones" actor who plays Jon Snow ditched his longtime girlfriend actress Rose Leslie publicly are going in the wrong direction. The romance was in the air but only as part of a bit performed by the actor and his Emmys co-presenter.

The actors shared the stage to announce the nominees for the category Variety Talk Series, which was won by John Oliver for his "Last Week Tonight." They mentioned "Bloodline" star Kylie Chandler in their conversation.

"No, I won't kiss you, Kylie Chandler," Us Weekly quoted Samberg as saying jokingly. The 29-year-old GoT actor countered the statement instantly. "Yes, I will kiss you, Kyle Chandler."

At the beginning of the conversation, the 38-year-old "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star said that she will have a party time "now." The final twist of the bit was when Harington suddenly went on knees.

"There's something else I want to celebrate tonight with you, Andy," Harington said while pulling out a ring box and presented the ring to the actor. Samberg surprisingly looked at the actor while Harington proposed him for marriage in between the event and said, "What, Kit, what are you doing? Here at the Emmys? I do!"

However, it was not the first time when Samberg and Harington performed a funny bit. In 2015, the duo was seen in a mockumentary "7 Days In Hell."

Harington's girlfriend Leslie might not have accompanied him at the main Emmys event on September 18, but she attended the GoT pre-Emmys party on Sept. 18, Saturday, E! News reported. It is speculated that with the end of her character in "Game of Thrones" in 2015, it may have been difficult for her to get a ticket.
