EA has released its official apartments trailer for the upcoming "The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack. The more than two-minute clip has given players a glimpse at the new city apartment lifestyle, as well as the new apartment traits and several other new items such as furniture, clothing and hairstyles.

Similar to how a gamer can choose a specific trait for their Sim characters, players will also be given several apartment trait choices in the upcoming expansion pack. These new apartment traits will impact a Sim character's life in the game's new city-themed world, San Myshuno. Some of the said traits teased in the clip include a Romantic Aura trait, a Good Schools trait for family oriented Sims, a Home Studio trait for artists, a Filthy trait and more.

Meanwhile, a press statement posted on The Sims official website has detailed some of the features that players can expect from the expansion pack's apartments. Players would be able to have their Sim characters enjoy the advantages and disadvantages of living in a small apartment community. This will include noisy neighbors, quirky roommates, strange landlords, as well as faulty apartment plumbing or electrical wiring.

In other news, a few members of The Sims team has shared some interesting details about the apartments in "City Living." The fansite Sims Community has compiled some of the comments that a few SimGurus have posted on Twitter during a recent Q&A session.

One of the changes would be the limited apartment build mode that players will experience in the upcoming expansion pack. It appears that gamers will not be allowed to expand the size of an apartment and change the location of windows, the front door, including the electrical box and plumbing pipes. However, the interior walls and doors can be taken down or moved to another spot provided this is done within the apartment.

Players will also encounter a loading screen when visiting a neighbor in another apartment. Although a loading screen will not appear in elevators or when a Sim character will take part in an open street event or festival near the apartment building.

"The Sims 4 City Living" will be released on Nov. 3 on PC and MAC platforms.
