Although it happened seemingly too quick, it was unsurprising that iOS 10 on iPhone 7 has been jailbroken, courtesy of security and hacking specialist Luca Todesco. However, it's fair to assume that jailbreak fans will not get a JB tool anytime soon, specifically coming from Todesco.

First off, Todesco is mostly known as a tech enthusiast and the jailbreak he has showcased via Twitter will certainly not make it public as the same case on his previous efforts. Per Phone Arena, the dev in Todesco managed to install Cydia 1.1.26 on the latest iPhone that runs on iOS 10.0.1 but that will be the end of it.

"For better or worse, the Italian developer will most probably keep the jailbreak and his method of achieving it for personal use," the report said. And true enough, Todesco stopped short of sharing the info on how the jailbreak was achieved. It should be safe to conclude that the dev has no plans of making the tool public - not anytime soon or more appropriately, not at all.

Recall that Todesco has previously what appeared as working jailbreaks on iOS 10 but months have passed and nothing came out of the work, or at least something that will delight the jailbreak community. For sure, the same will happen with Todesco's latest feat.

But thankfully, jailbreak fans can always look to Team Pangu and iH8sn0w for the next jailbreak release and speculations are rife that the two will be the likely source of the tool. And why not as they both demonstrated that iOS 10 can be jailbroken and in doing so, largely hinted that work on the iOS modifier is indeed underway.

While it's unclear when the two will act on the clamor of jailbreak fans, there are least some signs that the rollout is fast approaching. For one, Apple has seeded to developers the first beta version of iOS 10.1, as reported by BGR, and the move indicates that the operating system's next big update is happening soon.

To many, this will prompt Pangu and iH8sn0w to continue on what they are doing and wait out for the official 10.1 release to finalize everything. When that happens, the next jailbreak release will be just a matter of timing.

If Apple will make iOS 10.1 by, say, anytime in October then a jailbreak release that is based on iOS 10 will likely happen in the next few days following the updated OS rollout. It should be noted that such assumption is based on the previous release model used by Pangu before.
