It revealed in the "X-Men: Apocalypse's" post-credits scene that scientist from the Essex Corporation have acquired the research and notes of the Weapon X program, including a sample of Wolverine's blood. With this in mind many speculated that Essex, particularly Mister Sinister could be responsible for cloning Wolverine and the creation of X-23, since the villain has been known for cloning mutants in the comics.

However, director James Mangold had his own opinions on having Mister Sinister in the "Wolverine 3" as he tweeted that he has no idea who Mister Sinister is, adding that it sounded corny and will urge fans to "please advise".

Fans have noticed that Mangold neither flat-out denied nor confirmed anything with his playful statement on the matter. If so, could Mangold surprise comic book fans and movie goers about Mister Sinister as a teaser for the next "X-Men" film sequel.

Two actors are being eyed for the role of nefarious villain and these are "Their Finest" actor Richard E. Grant and "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston.

Grant was been casted for "Wolverine 3" as he will playing a "mad scientist" role possibly hinting Mister Sinister since he is in fact a brilliant but derange geneticist.

Cranston on the other hand, stated in an interview with Geeking Out that he wanted to play a Marvel character in any movie and Mister Sinister seems to pop up on his mind since he wanted to do a character that he has not done before, Screenrant reported.

In other news, it seems that Victor Creed/Sabretooth's (Liev Schreiber) inclusion in "Wolverine 3" has resurfaced once again as several fans theorized that Logan/Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) feral haft-brother/rival will be working together to fight Mister Sinister in the film, alongside Laura Kinney/X-23, Logan's female clone, GameNGuide reported.

Jackman once hinted that he wanted Schreiber back in the film due to a tweet he posted to his "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" co-star several months back. Schreiber told Jimmy Fallon in "The Tonight Show" hat he is likely open with the idea of returning to his character in "Wolverine 3", even joking about an "Old Man Sabretooth" in the film.

The third "Wolverine" spin-off will feature an old grizzled Logan as the plot of the movie will based on the popular comic book storyline "Old Man Logan".

"Wolverine 3" will be release in cinemas on March 3, 2017.
