New "Dark Souls 3" DLC gameplay video has been launched recently by Bandai Namco. Hidetaka Miyazaki explained the specifics of what players can expect from this new add-on.

The game company has just released a new gameplay trailer for the new DLC, which is called the "Ashes of Ariandel." The gameplay video, which can be viewed below, showed the snowy environments and rough weather conditions of the area. Players will have to traverse through roads that have fog and other weather hazards that reduce their vision.

The video shows the game's signature combat style as players fight against certain enemies. They will also expect to fight off foes like an axe-wield giant, crawling creatures, a large wolf, quick enemies wielding scythes, and a gigantic opponent that holds a large cauldron full of hot liquid.

According to the official website of the PlayStation Store, the first add-on for this video game will be launched on Oct. 25. The DLC will also launch on Xbox One and the PC, which will cost $14.99.

Players can also purchase the Season Pass if they want to reserve the two DLCs ahead of time. Those who got it already will just wait until the DLCs will be unlocked when they get released.

From Software president Miyazaki told Polygon during a game demo about the specifics on what players will expect. The new add-on will have its own style and a theme that will be completely separate from the base game, he revealed. He also explained that he is aiming for a gothic flavor that stands apart from the core game, but it will be shared by both DLC packs.

During the game demo, two new enemies have stood out. The trees came alive and tried to attack the character as they pass by. They also have a ranged attack that allows them to shoot fireballs that can easily hit players from behind.

The wolves were difficult to face, since they were able to scout ahead before attacking. Before they attack in full force, a single wolf would watch the character's movements, and afterwards surround the players before reacting. Miyazaki said that the wolf packs will bring a new gameplay experience to the fans.

Miyazaki said that fans of the Souls franchise will sure to notice the moment they enter the area for the content. There is a new zone called the Painted World of Ariandel.

Players who have played the first game of the franchise will remember another side area called the Painted World of Ariamis. Miyazaki said that this is not a coincidence, but there is no direct connection either.

Miyazaki explained that this area takes place in the Painted World, but it is taking place in a different one. It does have some connections between the new Painted World and the one from the original game. He revealed that he wanted to return to the Painted World because it matches with the theme he is trying to describe in the first DLC.

The president revealed that there are two bosses to defeat in the new DLC. There will be big changes during each boss battle. While some are disappointed with only two boss battles, he promised that there are lots of other content in the DLC.
