West Ham was one of the top teams last season, finishing at the seventh spot of the table and qualifying to the third round of the Europa League this season.

However, they are having a difficult time this term, winning one and losing four of their first five games to drop to the bottom three relegation area.

Their last game was a high-scoring 2-4 loss to West Bromwich Albion on the road at the Hawthorns last Saturday, SkySports reported.

The Baggies scored the first four goals of the match, courtesy of a double from Nacer Chadli at the eighth and 56th minutes, and one goal each form Salomon Rondon and James McClean at the 37th and 44th minutes.

Head coach Slaven Bilić's squad tried to turn things around after that as they netted the next two goals at the 61st and 65th minutes, from Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini respectively, to make it a 2-4 count.

It proved to be the final score, though, as both teams went scoreless for the rest of the match.

Meanwhile, Southampton is also having a tough season so far, being winless in their first four games.

The Saints nailed their first win of the term last Sunday at their home field of St. Mary's Stadium by nipping Swansea City, 1-0, the Independent reported.

English striker Charlie Austin scored the winning goal for head coach Claude Puel's side, as the French manager finally gained his first victory in the Premier League.

The Saints climbed to the 14th spot of the league table as a result of the win.
