Inter Milan had a dismal opening to the season, being winless in their first two games after losing to Chievo, 0-2, in their season-opener then settling to a 1-1 draw with Palermo in their second game under new head coach Frank de Boer.

The team recovered their bearings, though, as they won their next three games, with the last one resulting in a 2-0 blanking of Empoli on the road at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Wednesday, as per Goal.

I Nerazzurri team captain Mauro Icardi netted a brace at the 10th and 17th minutes to get the quick two-goal lead before both teams ended up being scoreless for the rest of the match.

With the win, Inter climbed to the fifth spot of the current league table, tied on points with third and fourth-placed Chievo and Roma who both have higher goal differentials than La Beneamata.

Meanwhile, Bologna remains in the upper half of the overall standings as the team also won 2-0 over reeling club Sampdoria at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara last Wednesday, via ESPN.

Italian forwards Simone Verdi and Mattia Destro netted one goal apiece at the 45th and 50th minutes to lead head coach Roberto Donadoni's team over La Samp.

The win was I Rossoblu's third this season to keep them at the seventh spot of the league table at the moment.

Inter is the slight favorite to win over the Greyhounds in this match as the latter is still dealing with a lot of consistencies in their play at this point of the season.
