The Hound made a surprise return in the "Game of Thrones" Season 6, but his short expertise in the plot left viewers and other enthusiasts clueless on the future relevance of the character.

There have been certain revelations suggesting that there may be a paradigm shift in the role played by the Hound, unlike characterization in previous seasons. The Hound is mostly famous among the viewers as a companion of Arya Stark.

The Hound is expected to have a changed avatar in the "Game of Thrones" Season 7, according to Access Hollywood. There have been rumors Paul Kaye (Thoros of Myr) would be playing a more substantial role in the upcoming season, and would get more screen time as compared to the previous season.

On the other hand, Richard Dormer has also been seen in Belfast. According to The Independent, it indicates the inclusion of the Hound in the alliance. On the contrary, the coalition does have a tough past wherein they have indulged into severe unrest and rivalry with Beric and the Hound fighting themselves to death in previous seasons.

Despite such past friction, the ally is believed to be a powerful one, bringing in a lot of arsenal and magic to the characterization. On the other hand, Iain Glen has been noted proceeding towards the headquarters of the Game of Thrones which set rumors that the actor would probably beseech Thoros to use some of his magical traits to cure his Greyscale.

As of now, the filming of the new episodes is going on, and there is a flurry of spoilers which are boiling up. Emilia Clarke, playing the character of Targaryen, has confirmed that another fierce battle in underway.

The "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is all set to release in the summer of 2017. It will consist of a total of seven episodes, unlike other seasons which had 10 episodes in the entire plot.
