WWE Clash of Champions aligns Seth Rollins against Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. Fans will see an interesting battle between two stars who have just gotten new roles at the top of the card.

This is the first time that Rollins is working the main event as a babyface while on the other hand, Owens is getting his first legitimate run as a main eventer. It is created quite the pickle for WWE, with logical reasons as to why either Owens or Rollins should walk out of Clash of Champions as the Universal Champion.

The results of Owens vs. Rollins is not seen as the only important thing here as the finish of the match will be just as crucial in setting up both guys for failure or success down the road.

WWE is undoubtedly moving ahead to have Rollins as that No. 1 babyface, especially with John Cena Randy Orton essentially working as part-timers currently. Viewers are asking if Rollins can become the face of the company and merchandise mover that Cena is and if Owens can be the top heel WWE desperate needs.

That will largely depend upon how their match plays out at Clash of Champions with four possible finishes to the match. Romain Reigns' assistance to make Seth Rollins win is the first option. According to reports, the WWE is set to reunite The Shield which makes sense given that Roman Reigns, Rollins and Dean Ambrose are all babyfaces, Sescoops reported.

In order for WWE to truly reunite The Shield, something must be done to erase all of the bad blood between the three former Shield crew since the group separated back in 2014. Considering all of the on-screen heat between Rollins and Reigns over the last couple of year, something needs to happen that will unite them once again. Fans speculate that if Reigns screws over the man who screwed him over will bring this to be.

The second option is Seth Rollins winning clean and fair. WWE often brings upon itself a challenge when it comes to top babyfaces, they are booked as nearly impossible to beat, an issue that has plagued Roman Reigns and Cena throughout their careers. WWE does not want such issue to hinder Rollins' career, and unfortunately, that may be what happens if Owens is beaten Rollins beaten by Rollins on Sunday.

Kevin Owens winning clean is another possible finish. Whether Ownes is a heel or not, it is imperative that WWE immediately show him as a worthy Universal Champion because he has not always been booked well even in the midcard. Having Rollins lose clean may not be the best idea making this be a bit of sticky situation, but in weighing its options, WWE may opt for this in order to set Owens up as the guy on Raw, Forbes reported.

The last possible finish is of Triple H costing Seth Rollins again. A couple of weeks ago, Triple H cost Rollins the Universal title a couple of weeks ago. The main purpose of this was see as to ultimately lead to that Rollins vs. Triple H match that has been talked about for so long.

The trick here is that fans may see Triple H vs. Rollins at WrestleMania 33, and if that is the plan, WWE's creative team will undoubtedly spend time having Triple H destroy Rollins' career in order to assist help cement Rollins in his babyface role.

Many fans are not big on screwy finishes in major PPV matches, but in this case, Triple H costing Rollins is one that actually makes sense.
