The Xiaomi Mi Box has been spotted in a Walmart shelf complete with the price tag at the bottom which reads $69 with only three boxes shown, SlashGear has learned. Xiaomi has not officially revealed the price but speculations point to a price below $100 and the leaked photo could be right around the mark.

George Garett on Twitter posted the photo on Twitter as he saw the Xiaomi Mi Box. He asked in the tweet whether the device has already been released yet as there has been no coverage yet of it being launched across the globe.

Xiaomi has not yet commented on the photo as they have not officially launched the product yet. The devices could have been already shipped out but are still being withheld pending the official green light from the company.

Xiaomi Mi Box Specs

The Xiaomi Mi Box is cheap but packs a punch with its hardware under the hood. It can play 4K videos up to 60 frames per second making it a cheap choice for those who have already bought expensive TVs.

Xiaomi's Mi Box also supports Dolby Digital Plus and DTS surround sound technology to deliver clear and immersive sound if the household has a home theatre, Android Authority reported. Users can plug it in through HDR10 and HDMI 2.0a ports on their monitors or TV.

Those who are too lazy to pick up the remote can just browse TV shows or their multimedia files through the Mi Box's Bluetooth voice activated remote. There is also a USB port included for additional storage considering that 4K videos can be quite heavy.

Xiaomi still has to officially give the go ahead to sell the Mi Box through retailers across the globe. No word has been given yet from the company.
