The still photos for SBS's "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" episode 10 are out. Spoilers suggest that Hae Soo (IU) will need to endure intense torture and humiliation at the hands of the royal guards.

In the ninth episode of "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," which aired on Sept. 20, the 4th Prince Wang So (Lee Joon Gi) was invited to a family dinner with his estranged mother, Queen Yoo (Park Ji Young) and siblings, 3rd Prince Wang Yo (Hong Jong-Hyun) and 14th Prince Wang Jung (Ji Soo).

Much to his surprise, Queen Yoo demanded the 4th Prince to kill Crown Prince Wang Mu (Kim San Ho) with an end goal to give the 3rd Prince a chance to sit on the throne. Disappointed, Wang So told Queen Yoo not to bother inviting him to the next family dinner.

The upcoming episode of "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" will feature Queen Yoo's attempt to poison the Crown Prince. Since 4th Prince Wang So knows the scheme, he will drink the poison instead, putting his life in danger.

Since Hae Soo was the court lady who brought the poisoned tea, she will be tortured and will be sentenced to death in the next episode. Nonetheless, it is believed that Court Lady Oh (Woo Hee Jin) will spare Hae Soo's life by claiming that she did the murder plot.

Although it remains to be seen what will King Taejo's (Jo Min-Ki) first move be, it is believed that the upcoming episode will be the turning point of Wang So and Hae Soo's relationship. Hae Soo will now get closer to the 4th Prince and their interactions will change her unfavorable opinion of him.

It is believed that Hae Soo will then unwittingly fall in love with the 4th Prince after 8th Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha Neul) gives up on her when he was asked to choose between the throne or her love. Still photos from the upcoming episode were widely circulated on Twitter.

Meanwhile, SBS just confirmed that "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" will not be extended and will only air 20-episode as originally planned, according to local newsoutlet OSEN, as cited by The Kpop Herald. An unnamed source told the local newsoutlet that it is impossible to run more episodes, as the drama was completely filmed before airing.

Nonetheless, SBS has yet to figure out whether the finale episode will air on Oct. 31 as initially planned or a week earlier on Oct. 25, with both the 19th and 20th episode back-to-back broadcast, Koogle TV has learned.
