Fairy Tail chapter 503 - Natsu has just turned into the monster he was prophesized to be. E.N.D, the most powerful demon in the Book of Zeref, has finally manifested itself in the form of a savage-looking Natsu Dragneel, a sight that piques the attention of Gray Fullbuster.
In the middle of the great war between the mages of Ishgar and the Alvarez empire, a battle of epic proportion is about to take place, pitting Gray's ice magic against E.N.D's ferocious firepower.
Chapter 502 Recap: The last sight I beheld
-The chapter opens with Lucy gaining her consciousness in a dungeon after losing to DiMaria in their recent fight. There, she saw a still unconscious Natsu, also tied up with the same magic-stealing stone that restrained her from calling any of her celestial spirit.
-Out comes DiMaria threatening to torture Lucy for brain-washing her friend Brandi. DiMaria shows her teleportation ability, unsuspectingly stripping Lucy's bra. She also warned to strip down Natsu as well, but found him uninteresting since he was barely moving at all.
-DiMaria shifted back her attention to Lucy, and this time, she threatened to gouge her eyes up as she found them annoying. Lucy responded that she won't be deterred even without her eyes or even got her face marked up with scars. A pissed-DiMaria was just about to stab Lucy, when everything blacked out.
-The next scene saw Lucy lying on the floor but no longer restrained by the magic-stealing stones. Upon gaining her consciousness, she saw blood splattered over her face and next to her side was a beat-down DiMaria, who was apparently traumatized by what she just saw.
-Lucy asked DiMaria where Natsu was, but all the Spriggan 12 mage whispered was the word monster. Soon, Happy, Porlyusica and Brandi came to the rescue but they were also surprised to see Mari barely moving at all.
Porlyusica then explained the tumor he discovered within Natsu's body wasn't Anti-ethernano. It was something hard to explain and it has been awakened after Brandi returned it to its original size.
-Lucy then realized the sinister, demonic power Porlyusica talking about could be E.N.D. She then decided to search for Natsu (even without her bra on), hoping she could help her restrain the monster within him.
-Natsu wanders around the battlefield, looking for Zeref's trail. For a second, ge thought he finally saw Zerefbut later found out that it was Gray all along. The two Fairy Tail mages stares each other, no longer as comrades but as bitter enemies waiting to happen.
Chapter 504 prediction: 'Rift'
The title of the next chapter says it all. It's a rift, an earth-shattering rift between Fairy Tail's most powerful mages who happen to be the closest of friends. With Natsu turning into a monster that is E.N.D, it all falls down on Gray's shoulder to stop the fire monster at all cost.
The question now is can he really set aside their friendship to fulfill his promise to his father? That I don't know, but I am very certain the next chapter is going to be intense. The much awaited showdown between ice and fire is finally here and there's no reason to miss it.
