The change to stick acceleration is the most important by far in the upcoming "Overwatch" patch. In the current mode, "Exponential Ramp" will be moving the thumbstick towards the outside of its range would ramp up the sensitivity exponentially, and remains high.

The new default called "Dual-Zone mode", will slow down the sensitivity of the “vast majority” of range moves with the thumbsticks, but increases it only when players get to the outer 10 percent of the range, and keeps low acceleration. Dual-Zone Mode will allow for more precise aiming, while still allowing players to turn around quickly.

As of now, Blizzard has no announcement regarding the release date of next patch will take place, VG 24/7 reported.

In other news, it looks like two characters will be added in "Overwatch's" growing roster sometime within October as the momentincrime site claimed that a little over 22 percent as of press time.

An "Overwatch" observer estimated that the counter seems to increase by around 0.0038 percent every three minutes. YouTube username Rykker explained that the source code seemingly indicate that the timer is being updated manually, although the use of an outside script for updating is also possible. This resulted in Sombra's possible announcement with an Oct. 16 or 17 launch date.

However, a different report speculated that Athena could come out first in "Overwatch" rather than Sombra. Athena will be sporting an Omnic body based from an old photo of the Overwatch team right before the organization disbanded. Her Omnic body will have a female shape with a single eye and a logo of her name on her head.

It has also been theorized that Athena may join "Overwatch" as a support for other heroes, other rumors stated that Athena could be released first before Sombra, iTechPost reported.

"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
