Dean Ambrose will be one of two superstars that will challenge A.J. Styles for the WWE World Championship at No Mercy on October 9. However, the latest rumors suggest that Ambrose will not win the match since he is going to join John Cena in the hiatus club this October.

Ambrose and Cena will try to become the new WWE World Champion at No Mercy but Styles is currently favored to retain his championship. It is a well-known fact that Cena will miss the rest of the year to film the second season of his reality television show "American Grit."

According to Top Rope Press, Ambrose will also miss the rest of the year to film a new movie for WWE Studios. The name of the film is still unknown but WWE Studios have four upcoming movies without a featured WWE superstar.

"Reports started to surface today that the former WWE World Champion will be filming an upcoming WWE Studios project after October's SmackDown PPV that will take him off television and off the road for the rest of 2016," the report noted.

It is going to be The Lunatic's second movie for the WWE following the success of his film, "12 Rounds 3: Lockdown." It was released on September 11, 2015 and Ambrose was written off television for the filming of the movie.

With Ambrose and Cena both taking time off, Styles will need a new opponent going forward. But first, the WWE has to write off both stars and it is going to happen in the October 11 episode of SmackDown Live.

According to Daily Wrestling News, Vince McMahon is currently high on Randy Orton after the toughness he showed in his match against Brock Lesnar. Orton is in a feud with Bray Wyatt at the moment but with two main event stars missing time, it is the right time to have a fresh feud to end the year.

The Viper has also teased a feud with Styles since his return from shoulder injury. Nevertheless, these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. The WWE tends to change their plans every day and it would not be a surprise if they delay Ambrose's time off.
