"Half-Life 3" is rumored to feature the Kraken Base location and will support virtual reality (VR) to bring a new experience to the game.

The development of "Half-Life 3" has been kept under wraps by Valve for years and that only few developers in Valve have been working for the "Half-Life 3," which resulted to its delay. With the critical success of the "Half-Life" franchise, it seems inevitable that Valve wants to continue the series. While no concrete release date has been announced, rumor has it that the game will be released in 2018 at the game's 20th anniversary celebration.

The next "Half-Life" game is bigger than ever and in line with the latest trends in the gaming technology, Rolling Stone reported. The upcoming "Half-Life 3" will also feature Kraken Base, which will enable gamers to explore the deep sea with a submarine. Kraken Base location was expected to be part of the second installment, but the scene was changed and was replaced with the train scene.

In the new "Half-Life 3" game, it was reported that the storyline will be about Gordon Freeman as he travels underwater using a submarine to get to the place called Kraken Base, The Verge reported. Freeman will meet Doctor Helena Mossman but his allies will betray him. It will be up to the gamer to ensure the Freeman will survive the Kraken Base's destruction as he fights the enemies inside the base.

It was reported earlier that Valve and HTC have signed a deal to make today's latest VR headset, HTC Vive, for "Half-Life 3". With this partnership, players can expect to play a more exciting game with the full VR support.
