iOS 10 jailbreak release is probably coming soon as it was demoed by Pangu at MOSEC 2016. Pangu demonstrated a working jailbreak for an iOS 10 beta though the jailbreak is not available for the public yet and Apple has made it hard to jailbreak.
Since the jailbreak was demoed on a beta version of iOS 10, Apple was expected to fix those exploits in the final version but it did not. As a result, various hackers such as Luca Todesco, a popular iOS hacker, posted a video showing a jailbroken iPad running on the public version of iOS 10.
According to Forbes, Apple released the iOS 10.0.1 shortly after iOS 10 and blocked the hard work done by the Pangu. Therefore, Apple users hoping for an iOS 10 jailbreak may be out of luck and will have to roll back their operating systems.
In addition, Apple has also unveiled the second version of its macOS Sierra 10.12.1 beta to the developers. The new beta is listed as build "16B2333a" and it follows the release of macOS Sierra 10.12.1 which came about one week before.
This new beta can be downloaded from the company's Developer Center and via the Software Update feature in the Mac App Store. MacRumors noted that the new beta is more focused on fixing bugs found in the previous version.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted the tech giant three patents. The first patent is for an electronic device with mapping circuitry. The circuitry makes use of the various sensors in mobile gadgets to create a depth map of an area around a person.
The second patent for a mechanical keyboard with touch capabilities describing a system where users could use keys for touch motions instead of using a trackpad. The last patent is for an optical connector, a laser-based system that would allow users to connect accessories to gadgets without a physical connection.
For now, jailbreak users are likely to remain on iOS 9.3.3 and for those users who have already updated to iOS 10, there is no way of going back. The only option is to downgrade to iOS 9.3.5, which cannot be jailbroken.
