Lee Joon Gi, who plays 4th Prince Wang So in SBS's ""Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," recently discussed his character's relationship with Hae Soo (IU). In a recent interview, the 34-year-old actor detailed the fourth prince's real feelings for the heroine.

SBS' "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" just reached the halfway mark after its tenth episode aired on Sept. 26, Monday. To celebrate the halfway mark, SBS has released an interview with Kang, who portrays the aloof and reserved forth prince, Wang So.

"She is the only person that saw him for what he truly was," Lee said in a statement obtained by The Kpop Herald. "He's also most honest when he's around her."

The "Scholar Who Walks The Night" actor added that Hae Soo is the person Wang So wanted to protect and that he feels he is being protected by her as well. In the upcoming episodes, Wang So's feelings for Hae Soo will become more and more pronounced, as she is the first person that has treated the fourth prince kindly and warmly.

Lee also teased some exciting details about what viewers should look out for from the fourth prince. From being the most neglected prince, Wang So abruptly becomes the center of attention.

From being a reluctant and introverted boy, Lee teased that Wang So will now show a more assertive and stronger character. He will now tackle betrayal, jealousy, romance and more.

The "Arang and the Magistrate" star also expressed his gratitude to all the fans of "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" knowing that the SBS drama is not only popular in the Middle-East but also in North America. He said that he was extremely grateful that they were able to fulfill the tastes and interests of the fans across the world.

Meanwhile, SBS just confirmed that the historical drama will not be extended and will only air 20-episode as initially planned, according to local newsoutlet OSEN, as cited by Koogle TV. The network believed that it is impossible to run more episodes, as the historical drama was completely filmed before airing.

Nonetheless, The network has yet to figure out whether the finale episode will air on Oct. 31 as originally planned or a week earlier on Oct. 25.
