New "Injustice 2" details will feature co-op gameplay, online modes, a possible March 2017 release date and two DC characters coming to the sequel.

Warner Bros. Marketing Manager Brian Goodman teased new gameplay features for "Injustice 2" as he told Gamereactor that Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are working on the structure of the sequel's storyline.

Goodman explained that they are going to make sure the plot for "Injustice 2" would be perfect story-wise and will have gamers play it again for the second time. Goodman added that they are a number of new single player modes for "Injustice 2", as well as a set of online game modes and even a co-op gameplay soon.

It was noted that the decision to include branching storylines within "Injustice 2" was not only for the sake of giving players replayability, but to enable the team to revisit certain events in the sequel and the whole DC Universe.

NetherRealm Studios previously addressed the concerns over the "Gear System" in "Injustice 2" as gaming fans fear that the use of it could make the game unbalanced. Goodman explained that he and the game developers anticipated that the hesitation from the fans and the are developing it "intelligently" to deliver something new and unique for both gaming and comic book fans. He admitted that the gear system could indeed give off an unfair advantage to some players, but there are game modes that will cater to the players concers fo make in balanced as possible.

"Injustice 2's" gear system allows gamers to upgrade each characters abilities and stats by unlocking several loot gears after a match whether they win or lose. Not only will it change the character's appearance, but will gain extra boost of powers and even unlock new ones.

NetherRealm Studios stated that they will add more items and special features in the loot system such as powers and abilities of other DC characters once gamers win a battle.

In other news, a rumored possible release date for "Injustice 2" has been hinted as the sequel could launch in the first quarter of 2017.

French game website Gameblog stated that "Injustice 2" will be released in March 2017, however, it is still a subject of debate fro gaming and comic book fans as NetherRealm Studio has not yet officially announced it release date since the game is still in development.

It is still a safe bet that gamers will likely get "Injustice 2" in the early months of 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One versions knowing that NetherRealm will always update new details for the video game fans.

Aside from the release date, "The Flash" TV star Grant Gustin confirmed that he will be voicing Barry Allen/The Flash in "Injustice 2", while "Arrow" TV series star Katie Cassidy posted a photo on her Instagram wearing a motion capture helmet and suit. Several fan speculations revealed that Cassidy could be bringing Black Canary in the game, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

"Injustice 2's" roster has so far consist of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Supergirl, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus.

Other rumored and upcoming DC characters in "Injustice 2" include John Constantine, Jonah Hex, Darkseid, Doctor Fate, Swamp Thing, Captain Cold, Beast Boy, Starfire. Red Hood, Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, King Shark etc.

"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
