"The Originals" Season 4 will return with a time jump of five years from where it left off. Freya (Joseph Morgan), Rebekah (Claire Holt), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) remain in the dreamscape. In his official Instagram, Morgan recorded a video, where he was seen talking about the spoilers of Season 4.

The actor revealed that Season 4 of The CW hit series will see major changes in relationships, where enemies turn into friends and friends become enemies. There will be a blood flow as the new season focused on betrayal.

Morgan did not reveal who will betray who, but he promised that someone will get staked in "The Originals" Season 4. There are also teasers that Rebekah and Kol may bond while they face the consequences of Davina's (Danielle Campbell) death.

"Kol, interestingly enough, is asking himself those same questions," showrunner Julie Plec told Entertainment Weekly. The two of them are going to bond in a way that we haven't gotten to see so much about what their future is in this family and how much of this crazy they're expected to live through."

As far as "The Originals" Season 4 is concerned, there are rumors that Season 4 will be the show's last. The cancellation news began when "The Vampire Diaries" was announced to air Season 8 as the series' final installment due to poor ratings when Nina Dobrev bid goodbye from the show.

Seeing the lackluster rating of Season 3, there is a high possibility that "TVD" spin-off will follow the fate of its predecessor. "The Originals" Season 3 only had a 0.38 rating in the 18-49 demographics that is 36.26 percent way lower than the former season. The show also finished with an average viewers of 0.93 million, TV Series Finale reported.
