"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 premiered last month on CBS amid rumors that Jim Parsons', Kaley Cuoco's and Johnny Galecki's contracts are up for renewal, the actors top the list of highest-paid stars in US television.
The team behind "The Big Bang Theory" are close to finalizing their deals for the three actors as reported by Variety, each of the actors receives $1 million per episode. It was confirmed that Parsons, Cuoco and Galecki only began receiving $1 million per episode after they agreed to a three-year contract with Warner Bros. TV in 2014.
In the list, Gilmore Girls stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel came second with each earning an estimated $750,000 (£590,000) per show.
According to BBC News, the category of reality shows, chat shows and news show Judge Judy top the list with an annual $47m (£37m), followed by Matt Lauer of Today on $22-25m (£17-20m) and then Ellen DeGeneres on $20m (£16m).
Mark Harmon of NCIS is included in the list of high earners in the world of TV drama on $525,000 (£413,000) an episode. Harmon is followed by Kevin Spacey of House of Cards, who is said to receive $500,000 (£393,000) per show.
In addition, Variety estimates that the same amount is paid to Game of Thrones cast members Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that "The Big bang Theory" may end at Season 10 due to the total cost incurred in producing the sitcom. Currently, the production cost is said to be $9 million per episode, half of which pays for its stars. Luckily, there is still hope for more sequels as all the cast members of "The Big Bang Theory" are willing to return for more seasons, regardless of whether or not they will receive an increase in their salaries.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 airs every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
