The salaries of Hollywood stars may be a confidential and sensitive issue but a recent survey uncovered the estimated talent fees of several celebrities in the U.S. TV drama industry. A few "Game of Thrones" cast members such as Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke even made it on the said salary survey's top 10 list.
With the popularity of the HBO show "Game of Thrones," many fans have speculated that the series' main cast would have received an attractive acting contract for their respective roles. Several reports have previously hinted the salaries of a few cast members. However, a recent survey conducted by Variety uncovered the estimated talent fees of its main lead stars Clarke, Harington and more.
Both Clarke and Harington each have an estimated salary of $500,000 per episode for their respective roles in the HBO show. Clarke portrays the Queen of Dragons Daenerys while Harington plays the resurrected warrior Jon Snow.
Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also have the same per episode rate as the two British celebrities, according to the publication. However, the salaries of other cast members were not included in the list.
Meanwhile, given the seven episodes in the upcoming Season 7 of the HBO show, these five celebrities stand to get $3.5 million each. At this time, it is still unclear if they will also receive the same salary in Season 8, the show's final season run.
Despite the hefty per episode talent fee, the salaries of these "Game of Thrones" cast members failed to nab the top spot in the survey's TV drama category. The honor went to the "Gilmore Girls" actresses Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, who both landed at the top spot with a per episode salary of $750,000.
In other news, a casting call released by ModExpoR Internacional teased of the need for more actors to potentially play soldier roles, according to Winter is Coming. The said organization has been charged to hire additional actors in Spain to act as extras for the HBO series' new episodes.
The additional actors will be used during the upcoming six-day shoot in Spain's Zumaia that will start on Oct. 26, as indicated in the same report. Filming details for the said location were not revealed but speculations pointed to scenes that may involve soldiers.
