The last time viewers saw Gendry Baratheon was when he was leaving on a boat in "Game of Thrones" Season, after Melisandre attempted to sacrifice him to the Lord of Light. There hasn't been word about him since. The long lost character, however, might make a comeback in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and even become a key player.

Actor Joe Dempsey, who plays Gendry in the series, was spotted at the airport in Belfast. Harper's Bazaar has learned. Belfast sightings are legitimate giveaways to the show since much of "Game of Thrones" films in the city.

As per Harper's Bazaar, HBO has not confirmed on the matter; however, Watchers on the Wall predicts that the character might return to the show in Season 7. Fans, on one hand, are hoping he would reunite with his rumored love interest Arya Stark, who's also on her way back to Winterfell after her stint with the Many-Faced God in Braavos.

Gendry's presumed return comes at a very crucial time in The Seven Kingdoms. The battle for the Iron Throne is heating up and key players, one of which is Daenerys Targaryen, is en route to King's Landing to pursue her claim.

Although Gendry is an illegitimate son of former King Robert Baratheon, and is therefore not a candidate to the crown, his royal blood still makes him a target and at the same time a worthy ally. He's probably going to steer away from wherever Melisandre will be, given what she almost did to him in the past.

Meanwhile, there are rumors swirling that singer Devin Oliver may have been cast to play a big role in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The "I See Stars" front man posted a photo on Instagram which he capture, "I may or may not have made an appearance in Game of Thrones season 7."

There are speculations that the singer might have taken over the role of Rhaegar Targaryen. For the most part, he seems fit for the role, considering his long platinum blonde hair and sharp features.

Rhaegar hasn't been portrayed in the show in the past, but since he's now been revealed as Jon's biological father, it's likely he might make his debut on "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 returns to HBO in 2017.
