Kailyn Lowry's husband, Javi Marroquin, is facing rumors of a possible show exit from MTV's Teen Mom 2. Is the newly single reality star done with television for good?
During a new interview, Marroquin spoke of the upcoming season, which he confirmed would be a "rough one." As fans learned during the season finale of Teen Mom 2 season seven earlier this year, Lowry and Marroquin decided to end their marriage after three years together while he was deployed overseas.
“Me and Kail have alot going on obviously, everyone knows that, so this season really shows that and shows my life overseas and her taking care of the home life and then me coming home, there is a lot to see,” he explained to OK! Magazine on October 5. “It will be a good one.”
Although many Teen Mom 2 stars have claimed to have been unfairly edited by MTV, Marroquin said he has not experienced that -- at least not yet. However, as he prepares for the new season's debut, he hopes the network will allow his side of the divorce to be told in full.
As for the rumors claiming he may soon quit the show, Marroquin said he appreciates being included. In fact, he told the magazine that he often finds it to be a blessing. While he did admit that reality television can be stressful at times, he said the show has opened a lot of doors, which he is thankful for.
In another interview with In Touch Weekly, Marroquin opened up about how life has been since he and Lowry went their separate ways and said that he's been having a lot of fun with his guy friends now that he is single. He's also been sharing his newfound singlehood with his fans on Instagram, and recently posted a photo from a guy's night out.
Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin are expected to return to MTV at the end of this year or early next year for the new season of Teen Mom 2. A premiere date has not yet been set.
