In a shared future, the members of the A.C.D. should be able to work towards one plan to work for a common interest of development for all.

"China supports a multi-tiered Pan-Asian connectivity network to facilitate a comprehensive integration of infrastructure in Asia," Li said.

China also committed to giving the dialogue $100,000 for the fund of the secretariat.

The second summit was organized and took off from the success of the first one which was held in 2012.

According to Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Since the beginning, the ACD has been continuously driven by its member countries both in dialogues and projects.

"On the dialogues, ACD Ministers meet annually at the ACD Ministerial Meeting to discuss developments as well as regional cooperation, and Foreign Ministers from the member countries also meet on the sideline of the United Nations General Assembly in September."

The ministry added: "On the projects, many member countries offer to be the prime movers in the six consolidated pillars of cooperation that are in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to promote inclusive growth and sustainable development in the region, namely Interrelation of Food, Water, and Energy Security; Connectivity; Science, Technology, and Innovation; Education and Human Resource Development; Culture and Tourism; and Promoting Approaches to Inclusive and Sustainable Development."

The third summit will be held in Iran in 2018.
